COVID19 UPDATE
Last update: August 21st 2021
The wellbeing and safety of our customers, staff and community are important us. Below is the policy and update we had in place for 2021; this will be updated closer to the time of opening in May 2022 to reflect the guidance at the time.
As of July 1st Canada wide recreational travel is possible; we very much look forward to welcoming campers from all Provinces. With BC's step 3 restart plan in mind, we continue to keep in place certain precautionary measures:-
Please do not travel if you are sick, experiencing symptoms or have been around someone with COVID19 in the past 14 days; or if you have recently returned from travel outside of Canada.
Office - The occupancy of the office is no longer limited to 2 customers but we do kindly ask to please avoid over-crowding the indoor space. A barrier is still in place on the front counter space.
Masks - A new mandate is in place for the Interior Health Region effective midnight August 20th until late September: Masks are mandatory in all indoor public spaces for people 12 years and older.
Hand Hygiene - Please practice diligent hand hygiene.
Limit Touch Points: Please be mindful of high touch areas and objects; ensure you wash/sanitize your hands after coming into contact with common areas.
Increased Cleaning & Sanitizing - of common touch surfaces to include the office area, POS terminal, garbage points and facilities building.
Walk ins / Same Day Arrivals – Please call ahead to check availability.
Cancellations – If you decide to cancel, please help us by communicating this as early as possible so that we can plan our business accordingly. Domestic (Canadian resident) cancellations - If cancellation is made in advance due to COVID19 Travel restrictions or illness due to Covid19 (documentation may be required), there is no cancellation penalty. Outside of this, our standard cancellation terms will apply. International (non resident) cancellations - International travel is very uncertain at this time; as such our standard cancellation terms apply.
Washhouse (restrooms, laundry & camp kitchen) – Open to registered customers staying with us. We encourage those customers with self contained RVs to please use their own bathrooms when possible. Please follow any notices posted. Please sanitize hands prior to entering and after leaving.
Playground – Please use with caution, the equipment is not sanitized. Please follow the notices posted at the playground.
Campground Entrances – will remain open to allow for the free movement of our guests. Access is for reserved and registered guests only.
Firewood / Ice - Available for sale in the office.
Visitors: Please keep your socializing safe by limiting visitors to your campsite. Please ensure safe distance / space is maintained between campsites / campers outside of your group.
Please practice patience, kindness and consideration as we all navigate this new way of camping.
The on-going situation with Covid19 and associated best practice is ever changing and fluid. We will modify and update our approach and practices as and when appropriate / directed to do so by the relevant authorities.
